Razors in hand luggage

Hi,

I've read the airline and gov rules but I can't work out what it means in relation to taking razors on hand luggage.

Easy jet states only if set in plastic - does this mean those disposable throw away ones?

We were looking to take our Gillette's Venus and machs the ones that you replace the whole blades on. Anyone know if these can be taken in hand luggage?

I have done, but normally take a new blade in the plastic it comes in, separate from the handle, and usually throw the used blade away before coming home
