Help me choose, which package hol is best?

Booking our holiday for next year.

We can do either:

Corfu in early October - 6 nights, ideal flight times (early in morning out and late at night back). Weather can be hit and miss but for the last two years it’s been 25/26 degrees and sunny which is enough for us.

Kos in late October - 7 nights, both late flights so effectively arriving late evening and losing a day. Weather is more guaranteed and consistently 27/28 and sunny, year on year.

Kos is £350 more than Corfu and in time, all that’s gained is the night sleep and breakfast and possibly better weather.

What do you think?

Kos is further south so more likely to be warmer. BUT beginning of oct versus the end… this will probably balance that out!

Both are lovely (I prefer corfu but we have friends there)
But I wouldn’t be going to Greece in October if good weather is a priority , you maybe lucky. My parents spend a lot of time there, October/Nov very hit and miss.

Would anyone be really bothered about the flight times?

Yes flight times are important to me.

Would be even more important if taking children- considering potential delays etc.

Which place would you actually prefer to go?

They’re both the same hotel chain so not bothered as we wouldn’t be leaving the resort.

Thanks for your thoughts so far! We’d land into Kos airport at 11pm and not arrive at the hotel until nearly midnight. Not much time for anything other than bed, and have the full next morning.

In Corfu, we’d arrive at the hotel around 1:30pm still in time for lunch, the whole afternoon and dinner on arrival day.

All we’d be losing is a breakfast and a nights sleep. Not sure if that is worth £350.

Both return flights home are 11pm- seems Greek flights are really late!

Personally I prefer a late flight so you get a good night sleep & are fully refreshed the next day to start your holiday. I find when we arrive somewhere during the day everyone is tired & the rest of the day is not too enjoyable anyway

I would honestly look at stuff outside of the hotel resort. If it’s not great weather you won’t want to just sit about will you?

You are potentially missing out on visiting some lovely places! . Plus if the weather is shite…

Corfu town is absolutely gorgeous. Brilliant shopping lovely restaurants. There’s a really good bus service around the island

I don’t know a huge amount about Kos.

I prefer flights that give you the max amount of time on holiday !

Corfu. Better flight times and early October. I've been to both a few times. I've found kos to be more windy which makes it feel cooler.
