We are looking for an hotel with a 2 to 21/2 hr flight from London area, for 2 grandparents & 2 families of 4. Kids are 1 to 8 yrs. Need family suites (not roll out beds in parents' rooms) Must have a sandy beach & safe sea with paddle boarding or similar. Swimming pool, kids' pool with slides ect. All inclusive or half board. Any suggestions please.

You’ll need Canaries/Cyprus/Morocco for any guaranteed at that time of year!

*Guaranteed warmth

Weather is unpredictable by October, there was someone on here moaning about the weather this week. Canaries is 4 hours and more likely to get good weather, mid 20's.

What's your budget?

Happytraveler · 14/10/2023 14:19

Thanks for replying.
We pay for the hotel they pay their own flights, we have earmarked up to £5k. If necessary we would fly further afield
I can not find any hotels that fit what we want, location is not so important

The Seabank in Malta has family suites and loads going on. Not sure what the weather would be like then but we stayed there and had a great time when our kids were younger.

Thanks smashing that is the type of place I'm looking for, can you remember if the beach is sand we found some hotels with fine gravel and you cant build sandcastles.

Greece!

It’s Mellieha Bay in Malta and yes I think it was sandy. There are very few beaches on Malta which is why we chose this hotel. It wasn’t a massive beach but perfectly ok. Maybe google it to be sure. There were lots of water sports on offer there as well.

Many thanks, I will pass the details on to the family.

We're currently in Cyprus and the weather has been a lovely 27/28. I don't think our hotel matches your criteria (it's the Atlantica Mare in Paphos) but I'd certainly recommend Cyprus for October sunshine.

I’m in lanzarote at the moment, sunny and high 20s, maybe 30c at lunchtime. The sentido does family suites in los pocillos but lots of other places too.
