I'm currently 4 days into a 2 week holiday in lanzarote with my 3y old and 4m old baby. There is a heatwave and its in the 30s. The air conditioning is broken in the hotel and it's unbearable. There are also no parasols around the pool so it's impossible to find shade. Even the reception and restaurants are hot, so there is no break from the heat. I'm really struggling to keep the kids cool.
We've asked to change hotels as the air con isn't going to be fixed in the time we are here, but Jet 2 want to change us £600 to change for the next week in a different hotel (b&b and weve paid for all inclusive) and it will take a few days to sort.
Obviously, they can't help the weather but we would never have booked a hotel without air con with the baby. They can't even loan us a fan.
Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with Jet 2? We've spoken to the rep and they are so dismissive. I'm not used to complaining.
