I've been trying to get a weekend in Cork for a while now but cant because I refuse to pay over 300 per night for 2 people!! 🤣

It's so expensive now. Book anywhere you can get!
Cobh is a beautiful place to go for a day but dont stay there. Not many hotels /much to do. Your best bet wouid be as close to cork city as possible.

Paramummy3 · 13/10/2023 10:42

Hotel Isaac’s. The car park is a 5 minute walk away, but worth it. Lovely hotel and good location.

have the breakfast!!

I'm clearly the only one that clicked and assumed it was going to be about cork hats! 😂

Would you think about Kinsale.

You'd need a lot of money to stay in kinsale. Very expensive even this time of year

TheresaOfAvila · 14/10/2023 21:39

Rochestown oark
Maryborough
Carrigaline Court Are all nice hotels with facilities

need to drive into the city though

Carriemac · 14/10/2023 21:39

The maldron hotel is good , make sure you avoid the last weekend in October it's the cork jazz festival so hotels ££&.

Carriemac · 14/10/2023 21:40

Oh god don't stay at the airport how depressing

switswoo81 · 14/10/2023 21:42

Vienna Woods is ten.minutes outside the city. Plenty parking lovely hotel.
The Imperial is the nicest Hotel in the city centre and has a huge history attached to it no parking though.

Twoscotcheggsandajarofmarmite · 14/10/2023 21:42

The Kingsley is nice and just out of the city, but walkable along the river. I always stay in Isaacs though because I love Greene’s restaurant. Nothing like having your dinner by an indoor(ish) natural waterfall!

Splitscreened · 14/10/2023 21:44

Are you planning to stay in the city or explore the county?

Moonblue87 · 14/10/2023 21:50

We ended up booking the Montonette hotel it’s away from the city but we pretty much booked last minute Thankyou all for your replies

Montenotte is a lovely hotel and it's really close to the city. There are lovely views from the restaurant there.

Montenotte is about a fifteen-minute walk from the city centre.

I'm glad you didn't pick the airport hotel, its nice but why stay at the airport? The hotel you picked is nice and not too far from the centre, Cork city is very walkable. How long are you staying? I lived in Cork for ten years its a lovely city. Don't miss the English Market, and if you like pubs you are spoiled for choice but I used to like the Mutton Lane, Sine E, Fionnbarras, Crane Lane, Electric, the Hi-B and An Spalpain Fanach (to name but a few)! If you have time Clonakilty and Kinsale are well worth s trip, and if you like beaches don't miss Inchydoney. Enjoy your trip!

Hit up McCurtain Street, lots of options for food and drink to suit different budgets. Middleton distillery is close to the city of whisky of interest and Middleton is a great town.
