Italy- any suggestions

I love Italy, and have been to Sorrento and Rome.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a family holiday? My children are 2 and 4, and we would want to be near the beach. Also in a town where there are a good selection of restaurants and things to do.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

Venice Venice Venice

It's great. No cars (in the centre), lots of very exciting boats, bridges, amazing museums, markets, beautiful squares, amazing cakes. You can go on a trip to (and/or stay in) the nearby lido with family beaches.

We stayed at Locanda Anticofiore which was central, lovely and affordable - it was pre-kids but they are family-friendly.

Lake Garda
Lido di jesolo
Viareggio / Tuscany Coast
Sirolo / Numana
Taormina
All depends on what kind of place you like . Hope this gives you a few ideas
