Teenagers in Turkey - WiFi/data

Aaaaaargh about to go on holiday for half term with two teenagers (well one teenager and one wannabe), and trying to figure out how best to provide internet access. I know, I know, they shouldn't be online, but in reality an hour or two a day will allow us to actually sleep. I've tried to figure out if I can buy a prepaid SIM card (or two) or whether to buy a sim(s) when we arrive, and if so from where and by which provider. Can anyone help?

Does the hotel have Wifi?

We went recently and just used that. If we went out of the hotel then my daughter just connected through my hotspot. I am with EE and had to add a data roaming pack to my contract before we went. You will be able to buy sims over there, I saw loads.

Where are you staying? Hotels usually have WiFi, although sometimes it's better in the lobby than the rooms. Or you could have data just for your phone and hotspot to save £££.
We keep phones on aeroplane mode and use WiFi to avoid any surprises with our bills.

I went to turkey this summer and got an esim from holafly. Very easy to do, took a few mins to set up and there are different packages to choose from.
I needed plenty of data to read mumsnet from beside the pool 😂

I actually bought it when I was there. I initially bought a sim from a stand outside the airport arrivals lounge but it was for a set no of gb and didn’t last very long when I had 4 kids phones hotspotting at various points throughout the day. The holafly one was unlimited gb for different amounts of days I think so you could pick how many days you wanted. When we go away next year I shall have it set up before we go as it was much better
