Summer holiday ideas. £10k budget more than we usually spend!

Usually do cheap apartment holidays in Spain but can spend more next year. The budget is around £10k plus a bit more to include spending money. Me, dp and dd10. I’d like to go for at least 3 weeks and it has to be in school summer holidays.

Looking for inspiration! Dp has a mild disability affecting walking so nothing very active, as in wandering around is ok but no really long walks or bike rides or anything like that. Dd likes to be around other kids so I wouldn’t want to be anywhere remote. Thinking a mix of resort and culture?

Long haul is a problem also due to the disability because economy flights are not doable over 3-4 hours and I don’t think budget will stretch to business.

What about a cruise?

I would consider a cruise. Dp not that keen but could be talked around pretty easily I reckon. I’m not sure the budget is enough for a good one?

You could get 14 nights, not three weeks.

My BIL has mobility issues, loves cruising. Loads for the kids to do, easy for him to get around, can go to shore and just potter around if he doesn't want to do the big excursions.

He's swaying me to consider it so I have been looking at Med cruises on Tui and they were coming out from £2k ish ppn for 14 nights.

Have you looked at Club Med. It might be within your budget for 3 weeks and almost certainly for 2 weeks. It's All Inclusive and has plenty of entertainment, kids clubs etc inculded.

May be worth going towards the end of August as it's a French company and thier school holidays will be over by then which usually makes a difference to price.

My DC and I used to love cruise and stay holidays so for example a cruise around the Med and then a week in a lovely hotel. It felt like two separate holidays and can work either way around.
