Short break November two adults 3 or 4 nights

Looking for suggestions for a short break 3 or 4 nights for two adults for end of Oct beginning of Nov (somewhere that we can get a short flight from Edinburgh, Glasgow or Newcastle). Relatively inexpensive don’t need sunbathing weather but ideally somewhere a bit warmer than here, nice hotel and places to wander and watch the world go by.

I was thinking maybe Budapest but open to suggestions of location, hotel and who to book with etc.

Malaga would be my suggestion, or Seville. Malaga has the advantage of lots of choice of flights.

Just come back from Budapest, highly recommend.
Seville is my favourite short break so far, and we've done a few. We are off to Vienna in Nov and Valencia in Jan.
Also particularly enjoyed Malaga and Rome.

We're going to Seville end of November - weather looks reasonable. Budapest will be cold, though it's very lovely.

Spain is still warm at that time of year

We are off to Valencia for a short break at the beginning of November . Looks a really interesting city, and has beaches too.

We're going to Sorrento for a few days over Oct half term. We last went 22 yrs ago - this time with a teen. Really looking forward to it.

I don't think you can fly direct to Seville from anywhere in the UK except London, so you'd have to get a train from Malaga, which isn't a huge issue.

But Malaga itself is a great place for a short break. Malta would be another option. Lots of military history type stuff in Valetta and a few other places to see.

Lisbon if there's flights would be another good choice.

Or Jet2 does a city break to Las Palmas in the Canary Islands, but that would be a much longer flight and I don't know if they go from the airports you've specified.
