DP and I have saved with the hope of going on a blow out (by our standards!) holiday next year. We've had a bit of a year of it with an extended hospital stay for DS2, and so we're looking for a bit of a higher level of indulgence than we usually get. But I'm really struggling to find something!
- It's two adults and two children (DS1 who will be 5, DS2 1). We don't want to share a family room, we want at least one separate room for the children and a two bed suite would be lovely. Kind of fine with interconnecting rooms, but it does seem to make the booking process harder.
- We'd go half board and we'd like really great food (this is the criteria I'm struggling with the most).
- Child friendly to the extent that no one's going to mind them in the pool, but we don't need a holiday club or anything. Also don't mind if it's incredibly family friendly.
- Close to a local town / port / something that we're not in a resort the whole time.
- if Jet2 go there it's a plus!
- budget of c.£3000
We've been looking at Cyprus / Gran Canaria / Portugal/ Malta. Likely to travel in spring or autumn. We've been recommended Alexander The Great beach hotel in Cyprus, but that seems to be family rooms (not sure about interconnected ones) and Hotel Cordial Morgan Playa (but recent reviews mention the food isn't great).
