London - Parking????

Hi,I am travelling down to London from the North and would like to park before I have to drive into London!!! I don't fancy driving around and would prefer to park up on the outskirts and get a tube or train in!! Any ideas or advice please. I have driven to London and parked in Brents cross shopping centre but that was only a day shopping trip. I will be staying for the weekend and I don't want the car around London as the tube is easier. I would love to get the train but soooooo expensive that it is cheaper to drive. Thanks in advance!

Are there no advance deals etc on the train?

Hi Blu, No deals on the train. I thought I might be in luck as I'm not going until April but the prices are crazy for 3 of us. They are like airplane fares!!! I did think of flying but it all comes back to a much cheaper ride in the car on a tank of petrol. I did stay at Brents cross Holiday Inn once and that was handy because I just left the car there and we went into central London by Tube every day but I'm hoping to stay in Lancaster gate in a hotel I worked in 20 years ago(yikes!!!!) A trip down memory lane!!!
