We are considering a cruise over Easter to Spain. Possibly the Princess Sky cruise from Southampton.

Has anyone done this? Any tips as to how to choose a room/ floor / side?! Is the premium package worth it with kids adage 8 and 11 who won't be bothered about fine dining?

Hi, wow what a lovely holiday you will be in for. We are also cruising in october woth NCL.
The mid ship is the best in terms of motion sickness, and the cabin type depends on whether you would like inside, no window. Outside window , or balcony.
We went on enchanted princess last August was one of the best holidays ever, my children are 7 and 12 , we had premium drinks and found it well worth it as the kids were trying all kinds of mocktails. You will all have a fantastic time.

As the cruise is to Spain which is on the whole a relatively inexpensive country, I would save my drinks money for ports eg nice cafes or shops. You're going to need a cabin large, enough to accommodate your family so it would be good to explore options based on size. We've done outside and balcony to suites on our cruises as don't fancy inside cabins, I seem to remember you can bring some drinks on board with Princess Cruises but I may be wrong.
