How many months ahead is recommended to book?

I’m planning to go on a family holiday to Dubai preferably in the month of March. When’s best to book for this trip?

better to go for package holidays or book flights/hotel separately?

Long haul I would usually suggest booking as far in advance as possible - flight prices rarely drop the closer you get.

Package holidays give you a bit more protection if there are problems with flights etc. in terms of your hotel bookings. There can sometimes be good deals to be had as well which work out cheaper than doing it separately - would be worth looking at Tui, Virgin and Emirates for Dubai packages.
