Loveliest Eurocamp recommendations!

Inspired by my other thread, I would love your loveliest Eurocamp recommendations please!

Ideally (and not sure it's achievable) looking for somewhere with a heated pool and slides for kids, but not party party entertainment, spacious pitches, green setting, able to walk to a beach and a town.

For May half term or could wait till summer. Kids will be 9 & 7.

If you’re short on time, here’s a summary of the best Eurocamp sites Mumsnetters are recommending on this thread:

😎Domaine de Massereau, Languedoc, France

😎Domaine de Soleil Plage, Dordogne, France

😎Bella Italia, Lake Garda, Italy

😎Pra delle Torri, Adriatic, Italy

😎Cambrils Park, Costa Dorada, Spain

😎Domaine des Naiades, Riviera, France

We drove down to Playa Montroig this summer. It was a lovely campsite with a good mix of pools and sporting activities. The beach was nice and was very near to Cambrils for that resort feeling. Never drive south in France on the first Saturday in August. Never making that mistake again!

I'd love to go to a Eurocamp in Italy / Spain but all the flights are so expensive from us - eg Manchester to Verona return is £500 pp in May half term!

@Xmasbaby11 we are finding the same thing. Not sure if they've shot up or our expectations were way off. But flights are a lot more than we were expecting.

Not Eurocamp but Yelloh Village Les Grands Pins, Lacanau ticks all the boxes. Very nice site, directly on the beach, good pools with a few slides, walking distance to a nice town, as well as very good cycle path network to nearby lake beach with inflatable water park. Good restaurants on site and some entertainment but nothing too loud or crazy. Their accommodation is much better standard than Eurocamp too.

It gets booked up as soon as they release the accommodation around this time of year, so keep an eye out and book as soon as you can if it looks like somewhere you'd be interested in!

Also stayed at Massereau and love that one one too.

@BurntOrange i have booked to go here so excited to see you recommend it! Can I ask where you kayaked and how you arranged that.
@stringbean do you know if there’s somewhere close by to hire bikes and if they have kids ones to explore the cycle paths. Thanks!

You can certainly hire bikes at the site for adults, although not sure about kids. Lots of kids were cycling round the site on pedal go-karts which you can hire, although didn't see these on the cycle path. Might be worth contacting the site direct?

@Adropofink we used this company

The reception at Massereau were very helpful and gave us all the info and then I think we emailed them and they whatsapped them all the details. It's a beautiful area. We only did a short trip to the cliffs at Saint Series but it was really fun

@Adropofink - will you have a car? If so, you can canoe under the Pont du Gard if you're prepared to go a bit further afield. You can hire canoes at Collias - I think we used Kayak Vert. It was an easy canoe as I recall, no rapids to speak of, you can take a picnic and stop to swim along the way - lovely way to spend the day Smile

@stringbean @BurntOrange Thank you! I was starting to doubt my decision to book this one as we love the water and there’s no lake nearby but it sounds good and does look beautiful. I was looking for a quieter site after doing some really big and noisy ones previously. But then I worried it would be too quiet 🙈 and not fun enough for the kids with the no inflatables in the pool rule and no lake.

Have you tried from London. We have flown to Verona twice in school hols (though August not May) and we were pleasantly surprised at price of flights. All 4 of us including luggage for between 600-800.
