Canary Idlands with bungalow style / multi bedroom accommodation

Bloody On The Beach have just cancelled my holiday, I could cry!
Can anyone recommend accommodation in the canaries (preferably Lanzarote or Fuertaventura) with family rooms with 2 proper bedrooms, not a put me up in the lounge please? Bonus points for a waterpark or kids club on site.
Honestly I'll stick to Tui in the future, they were soooo nonchalant about it.

When are you going?

Would interconnecting rooms be enough?

Strawberryfieldsforeverrr · 20/09/2023 15:02

Early January, yes interconnecting would definitely work.

Iberostar Selection Lanzarote Park has interconnecting doubles

Sands Beach Resort has multi-bedroom apartments

Iberostar Playa Gaviotas has interconnecting family rooms

Elba Sara Beach resort has interconnecting family rooms

Los Zocos Lanzarote has interconnecting family suites

HL Club Playa Blanca has multi bedroom bungalows

Why don't you consider a villa through Airbnb? You can still eat out as often as you want. Then you've got your own space in the evening when DC are in bed.

Abeli · 20/09/2023 15:52

We went to HL Club Playa Blanca when DC were 12/14. It has bungalows with two bedrooms and I think it was AI. It was fairly basic but DC loved it. THere is a water park nearby, however temperature in January is not warm enough for water park IMO. You need a heated pool at that time of year as well.

cherryassam · 20/09/2023 16:07

I read January but didn’t really take it in - @Abeli is right that it likely won’t be warm enough for water parks. I would make sure there is a heated pool wherever you go. Kids facilities might not be running depending on occupancy.

H10 Lanzarote Gardens have 2 bedroom family suites and family bungalows in Costa Teguise. There's a kids club, entertainment and pools with 2 slides (one of the pools is heated)

Costa Sal in Matagorda, Puerto Del Carmen Lanzarote

Good sized 2 bedroom apartments, 2 pools but no slides.

We had a fabulous sea view 😊

I stayed here about 4 years ago and it was lovely. Although the heated pool is tiny and felt cold when we went in May!

Strawberryfieldsforeverrr · 20/09/2023 18:08

Thank you all so much, I definitely meant splash pad and a few little slides, rather than water park.
I've stayed at H10 myself and enjoyed it, but there's no availability. Lots of the suggestions upthread are fully booked, the good stuff goes early I guess. Which is why I'm so angry, I've had this holiday booked since January and OTB have ruined it, aresholes.

What dates are you looking at?

Strawberryfieldsforeverrr · 20/09/2023 18:41

@cherryassam 31st Dec to 2nd Jan departure, really not bothered about catching the NYE celebrations

Ah yeah New Years is very busy for the Canaries… do you need flights too?

Which hotel did you have booked?

how many people? Ages for DC would be useful too

Strawberryfieldsforeverrr · 20/09/2023 18:50

@cherryassam so it's 4 adults and 2 dc, age 4 and 7. It'll be children, parents, and one set of grandparents.

Sands beach resort has awful reviews, have you been there yourself, is it actually OK?

Knowing it’s four adults opens up more options - some places will only do interconnecting if there are adults in both rooms for some reason.

Both Occidental Jandia Playa and Occidental Jandia Mar have availability in interconnecting family rooms.

Bahiazul Resort has private villas with some hotel facilities but only private pools and minimal other kids facilities. The villas are really lovely though. They have availability in a three bed villa.

Santa Rosa Apartments in Costa Teguise has availability if you go on the 2nd.

Sheraton Fuerteventura has availability from the 2nd in deluxe interconnecting family rooms.

I’ve not been to Sands myself - it’s fairly dated but normally is okay value for money (I’m a travel agent). Looking at the most recent reviews it looks like they’ve had real problems with cleanliness and maintenance this summer. Probably one to avoid until there are signs things are back under control.

@cherryassam thank you soooo much for all of your advice so far.
Have you heard much about Relaxia Lanzasur Club, or Tui Suneo, both Lanzarote?
