Majorca end of May (weather?)

Just that really. Thinking of Majorca end of May with DC aged 5 and 2. They love the pool/water and wonder what the weather will be like for the pool? More concerned about the water temperate rather than the actually weather

This old thread might help https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/holidays/3101264-Unheated-pool-in-Mallorca-in-May-half-term

It might be fine, May half term has been pretty warm the last couple of years. But it also might not be super warm - and obviously at the start of the season, there will have been minimum warming of the pools from the sun. The sea is usually too cold for swimming for most at that time of year.

I would make sure anywhere you stay has a heated pool - although there aren’t tonnes of options which do

I am often in Mallorca in May and don't usually find it suitable for swimming or sunbathing - it's often quite rainy.

Thanks, I really want it to be warm enough for DC to be playing in the pool all day, sounds like it might be a bit risky for this and struggling to find family friendly places with heated pools. looks like later in the summer or further afield then

For May half term and what you want, I’d look at Canaries (heated pools much more common), Cyprus or Turkey. Even in the latter two a heated pool might be needed depending on the temp / how warm your DC like the pool to be.

Slightly further afield you could look at Egypt or Dubai.

We went to Ibiza in May half term last year with children around the same age as yours and the weather was perfect.
Sea and Pool not as warm as our holiday further afield in August but definitely warm enough to spend all day playing (and my children and DH are wimps who would never contemplate even dipping a toe in the paddling pool at home :))
Air temp was around 24-28 so not boiling but we found that a good temp for the kids, especially the younger ones.

We went for the last two weeks of May some years ago and it rained everyday. We were gutted!
