Out of school fines

Me and my partner are looking to take her 2 children on holiday again, due to the price we were considering term time. Biological father is registered as so with the school but has been in his majesty's hotel for several years with a few more still to come. How would a fine work in this circumstance for 10 days missed school during term time? Would we have to pay the fine from their father's side also or with him being where he is, would it be void? And how much would a 10 day absence for 2 children be? Thanks :)

They shouldn't fine him as he has no involvement in the decision, but depending on the council/your relationship with the children they may fine you instead. Fines start at £60 per child per adult.

So despite being biological father, given where he is, they wouldn't add a fine on from his side that we would have to pay? And would that be a £60 fine for a 10 day holiday or £60 for every 5 days missed?
