Tromso - Northern Lights and skiing

Hello, I want to combine (hopefully) seeing the Northern lights with some skiing. I'm thinking of Tromso for 1 week in January 2024. Any recommendations of tour providers? Or should I just book an apartment for a week and plan trips by myself? I'm a confident traveller but I've never been to Norway and don't know how easy it is to get around.

We used Magnetic North Travel for a bespoke trip to the arctic circle for a special birthday. They were fantastic. Tailored it to what we wanted and, while we didn't include skiing, I'm sure they would be able to arrange something for you.

Tromso is small enough to be walkable. My friend and I went in January a few years ago combined with a few days in Bergen. It was just totally magical. She booked it all so I can't remember which tour providers she booked our activities with but they all picked up outside one of the big hotels. We stayed in an AirBnB and walked into town every day.
