Bag drop at Bristol Airport - who can drop the bags?

Hi everyone

My DH, my DS (3) and I are going on our first family abroad holiday this week, flying with Jet2 from Bristol airport. It's a very early flight and I'm trying to work out the best way to navigate the airport so our very busy, impatient DS isn't hanging about too long.

Is it possible for DH to check in all bags at Jet2 check in/ bag drop desks whilst I take my son through security? Or do we all have to wait in bag drop line? Considering twilight drop in the night before but we live over an hour away. We have checked in and have mobile boarding cards.

Sorry - a little bit of an anxious traveller so be kind <3

I don't know about through security while he does bag drop but you won't have to stand in the queue with him. Sometimes the queue is bag drop and check in and they filter you either way which ever is free so I think you'll need to be nearby. Maybe try and get there early so you're in the queue before it gets massive.

I’m not sure if it’s always the case, but my parents were travelling through Manchester recently and had to have both their passports checked to be able to drop the bags off. I wouldn’t go through security therefore.

Surely it would be easier to navigate security with both adults present? Then if one of you gets pulled over the other one can take the child.

You could send your DH ahead to bag drop and have a walk around with your 3yo, and just meet him at the counter to do the passport thing. There may be no queue, or it may be an automated bag drop which are usually quicker anyway. Especially if lots of people have already done twilight bag drop.
