Are you allowed milk in hand luggage and on planes at UK airports?

Hi we are flying with TUI as part of a package holiday and ideally I want to bring normal cows milk in my hand luggage for our 2 year old as it helps him to relax and (hopefully) will allow him to sleep on the plane. Its his first flight.

Can anyone tell me if I am allowed to carry milk in our hand luggage? I'm thinking long life cows milk carton unopened.

Security once made my BIL taste milk from baby's bottle to allow it through . We did ask him if he needed burping after lol
