Have impulsively booked flights to Split for next summer, early summer. I have no idea whatsoever about Croatia and was wondering if anyone could recommend somewhere- dh and two young adults. We will stay in Split the night we arrive and the night before we go home so three nights four days. Probably can’t go too far- Hvar/ Brac? Dcs are happy to potter about with us.

We love Brac - it’s just stunningly beautiful. We’ve stayed in both Bol and Supetar, both were lovely.

Bol has the best choice of accomodation in my opinion as well as easy access to so many lovely beaches. We had a fantastic stay at Villa Giardino hotel - great location, beautiful rooms.

Supetar is a bigger town and a bit less touristy. Waterman Village is just outside the town on a gorgeous beach - it’s a really well done ‘bungalow’ resort (we’d probably call them lodges or chalets). But they are super modern, spotlessly clean, great facilities. Fantastic value for money.

We also stayed at Hotel Osam which was adults only but right on the waterfront in the centre of Supetar. Beautiful modern rooms and a fab rooftop bar.

You can do a lot from Split itself. Day boat trips out to the islands, with snorkelling, sea kayaking, visit to the Krka waterfalls- they're amazing! Loved swimming in the sea from some of the Split beaches too. You won't be bored. We stayed in old town Split for a week and loved it. Me, DH and two older teens

Trogir is closer to Split airport than Split.

We stayed at Franka apartments which were lovely and so was the Franka restaurant below. Trogir is a really small town but beautiful and one or two nights there would be enough. There's boats and ferries from there to Split and other place.

We also stayed in Bol which was great too, I'd definitely recommend it.

Trogir is closer to Split airport then Split, but Trogir to Split is less than an hour on a public bus anyway. There are also plenty of places to stay along the coast between the two.
