Accommodation amendment Jet2

We have a package holiday booked through Jet2 for an aparthotel during October half term.
Recent trip advisor reviews of the accommodation are poor, with several people saying that over zealous lifeguards stop children from playing or jumping into the pool and that kids are basically only permitted to swim laps. This is a place that Jet2’s website describes as being ideal for families and the photos depict the main pool as being pretty large.

Now, I actually support a ban on overly large inflatables, water guns and generally obnoxious behaviour.
My concern, however, is that my child, who is a keen swimmer, won’t be allowed to use her dive sticks. She simply likes to toss them off the edge of the pool and retrieve them from the bottom, she’s not bothering anyone else or making a noise while doing so, but everything I’ve read about this hotel suggests it won’t be allowed.

Has anyone got any experience of changing their accommodation choice through Jet2, and if so, how easy was it and how much did it cost? Any advice appreciated.

It’s generally not too difficult to do if there is good availability but you need to do it ASAP - it gets much more difficult if it’s less than 28 days until departure.

I think the costs are £50 amendment fee per passenger + any difference in hotel costs

It would be worth checking the reviews from last October too - lifeguarding is usually at its most zealous during the summer high season

The lead passenger has to call Jet2 to make the change
