Hello
Flying into Dalaman next summer, can anyone suggest any nice beach areas for Airbnb or resorts. We've stayed in Kas and Fethiye so keen to try somewhere new. Many thanks

Dalyan! The beach is wonderful, although you have to get a boat or bus there which is part of the fun. There are lots of small family run complexes with pools so easy to find somewhere that will meet your needs.

Er.. dalyan

Another vote for Dalyan. A magical place and amazing beach.

Oh that sounds, great thank you all 😄

💯 Dalyan. I’ve just returned from there. Been going for 15 years

ZolaBudd · 14/09/2023 18:50

@FlamingoFloss we have not been since we had school age children.

Fancy somewhere quite low-key not too many screaming children nice walking to the town, can you recommend any small complexes?

We had a lovely holiday in Dalyan this year. We were in a villa, but would suggest the Aydos club or suites. They're on the river path into town which is reallyscenic. Or there are lots and lots of other small places. There's a very useful Facebook group for Dalyan which will have lots of recommendations.

ZolaBudd · 15/09/2023 06:40

Now they ring a bell last time. If you head out of town along the river we were in some suites, but I can’t find them on the Simpsons brochure

ZolaBudd · 15/09/2023 06:41

Omg that was them! Called something else then.

loved the Jeep safari

We stayed there too! Used to be through Simpsons. A lovely spot.

No longer with Simpsons, it was when we went but they stopped doing it for some reason about 8 years ago. You can book direct there though.

Just resuscitating this thread with a question - are there many other beach options other than Iztuzu? We're thinking about going but would love some more options (within 30 mins by car).

loopsngeorge · 03/03/2024 22:02

We went on a night jeep tour that called at Kargicak bay where there is a beach club. It was lovely and I think Kaunos Tours in Dalyan run a daily shuttle there. Otherwise there are a couple of different boat trips that call at various beaches. Sarigerme is another beach within 30mins but I don't think it looks as nice as Iztuzu.

JaceLancs · 03/03/2024 23:18

We are going to Dalyan in August for 7th time - spend more time around the pool and on boat trips than on the beach, although love the boat trip down and will visit the turtle hospital - used to love the deserted beach nearby that you could only get to by boat or jeep and had no facilities but in recent years has had a road built and now has a beach club
To other poster asking about Kalkan - only been once and thought it was lovely but very hilly and ended up taking taxis everywhere as was far too hot to walk up and down a mountain all the time - very lava cliff beaches too so make sure you get a hotel with good pool

We are going to Dalyan in July with our 3 kids (4, 7, 9)… any recommendations for boat trips (so many companies on trip advisor!) or other activities?? Thanks!

There are tons of boats moored up. You can just stroll along and take your pick but my suggestion would be to join the Dalyan Visitors Facebook page where several boats advertise and you can read reviews etc. Some of the popular ones do get booked up in summer although I don't think there is masses of difference between them. Boats to the beach are like taxis and council run. You just get in the next one going.

mazzamoo123 · 12/04/2024 08:15

Thanks @loopsngeorge i meant more of a day trip on a boat, rather than just going to the beach… I will join the Facebook group! Thanks :)

Underparmummy · 12/04/2024 08:36

We are hoping to try Olu Deniz this year, did Calis Beach/Fethiye last year and loved it! Was also looking at Icmeler.

JaceLancs · 12/04/2024 19:15

I like the boat trips with Mr/Mrs Ozalp - Ozalp tourism is in the Main Street - very relaxed and friendly with good food
We always do a moonlight boat trip but just take pot luck as to which boat we get
just book at the harbour with the Dalyan boat co operative
