UK holidays for sociable 10 yr old only

Looking for a UK holiday for next year with our only DS. He's a sociable chap and likes to make friends on holiday, so somewhere where he can have a bit of freedom.
Not looking for massive holiday park type things but glamping/lodges etc. Near the sea would be better for me too!
Really struggling for some reason
TIA

I have a sociable DS too. We tried Centreparcs and kids were horrible to him there - many older children refusing to introduce themselves to him after making him tell them his name, or hitting - it’s like parents stopped parenting there!

Glamping in the Lake District was better but even then he didn’t really get to talk or interact with many kids.

London was amazing. We went to the Britannia Centre / various playgrounds and everyone was so friendly. We even exchanged numbers with a family we met on a cruise and had dinner with them and their four children at Giraffe afterwards. Some (posh) short let apartments also do kids events which can be nice for them to socialise. But it’s too expensive to do regularly.

Wowo is amazing - loads for kids to do. Needless to say, it gets very booked up. It’s about half an hour from the coast.

Bluestone, Pembrokeshire is lovely. My DCs loved it there. There are planned activities and it feels safe for them to be outside playing with new friends.

Plus, Pembrokeshire is beautiful.

I would look for a surf or watersports school on the coast somewhere, rent an air bnb and sign him up for daily lessons. They will probably be running holiday clubs with daily sessions (would need booking in advance probably from around May).

A glamping site on Llyn peninsula might suit you. We took DD here when she was 9 and she loved it. Found a little gang of friends and spent all her time playing outside. Close to some stunning beaches too

www.searles.co.uk/ this is a lovely place and we have taken our very sociable 10 year old there lots of times since age 4. The small playground is a good place to meet others plus the evening entertainment. Or just riding a bike around.
