Current passport renewal times

Morning,

If anyone has renewed a child's passport recently can you tell me how long it took from them receiving the old passport please?

Went to book flights for term before I realised DS didn't have enough time left on his passport. I can't fast track until they've had 6 weeks.

I got an email on 06/09 saying they received the old passport and tracking hasn't updated since.

Mine was received on 23 August, printed on 30 and delivered on 31, so you should be okay!

That's great news! You wonder what you were worrying about once it's all fine, but until then it's SUCH a source of stress.

Did yours take forever for the old passport to be logged as “received”?

Royal Mail tracking confirmed it had been delivered last Friday and it still isn’t showing as having been received.

@DibbleDooDah old passport marked as received 3 days after I posted it so not too long.
Passport is being delivered tomorrow so less than 2 weeks in total.
