We've been through so many changes this year. First it was gonna be a normal summer hol e.g. majorca/ibiza type thing.
Then we decided on Florida, but the prices dont seem to be going down and we have decided we might go with friends next easter and have a big villa.

I have a holiday to Cyprus with my mum, and me and dh going to a wedding in Lake Garda in June.

So that just leaves the family holiday, so bring out your recommendations. It will be august so somewhere not overwhelmingly hot, budget of about £2500 for 4. Not France, not camping, not chavvy, thats about the extent of my wishes

Hi ya, I went to Pula in Croatia and it was beutiful, the great thing about that place is that if you got a bit bored you could take the boat to Italy!

Also heard wonderful things about Dubrovnic.

Croatia= great food, wine and friendly people and still cheaper than other places.

HAve you thought about Austria?? We have had some fabulous summer hols there, easy to get to (we usually fly to Salzburg and then it's only about an hour's drive to a lot of lovely places)it is a very outdoorsy holiday with walking, cycling etc featuring heavily. Usually fab weather in August. Crystal and Inghams do the best packages. I have had friends who have gone with Esprit who do childcare on some days to allow the grown ups to do some serious hiking (or relaxing) and they said it was excellent.
