Try and find as many David Czerny sculptures as possible!

Ok thank you I will see how many we can spot 😊

Mlynec is a stunning restaurant right next to the Charles Bridge.
Výtopna Railway Restaurant in Wenceslas Square is a quirky place to eat where food and drink is delivered by model trains.
Palladium is a ginormous shopping mall with some brilliant shops and restaurants.
On Saturdays there’s a lovely farmers’ market on the embankment.

Thank you definitely like the sound of drinks being delivered by model trains so will check that out for sure!

We did a free walking tour of the castle district last time we were there, which was excellent. Spend the day strolling through the old town, across the Charles Bridge into Mala Strana. The boat trips aren't very exciting. You can do a self-guided tour of the Jewish Quarter too which is fascinating, if very sad in places. Have a cocktail a t Klub Lavka for a great view of the bridge. Visit the Obecni Dum for fab art deco. We also went to Mylnec for dinner - gorgeous view and lovely food.

Thank you I was keen to go on a boat tour but maybe not now after what you said

The boats don't go very far - just up and down a short stretch of the river. There is one that also does the little canal in Mala Strana though that looked interesting. It wasn't running when we were last there as the water level was 2 high.

When? Coldest place I've ever been, the insides of my teeth were cold, but it was stunning. I went in late November.

We go Friday so hopefully the weather will be ok ☀️

https://www.freetour.com/prague/prague-castle-incl-change-of-guards-with-music-band-free-tour This is the castle district tour we did. I really enjoyed it and learnt loads, though I think this was about my 8th visit to Prague. You only pay what you want to. The old town tour we also did was very dull in comparison. It was raining though. Lots of " lovely building etc - you can pay to go in later if you want" I was shocked at how busy it was this time (we went just after Easter) but still perfectly easy to find places to eat and drink.

We also did a "vintage" car tour after several aperol spritzes which was very enjoyable (if a bit pricey) where my friend certainly embraced her inner Queen Mother and loved waving to passers by in a regal (if slightly pissed way)😂These go from Celetna street - near the House of the Black Madonna which is a fabulous Art Deco tea room, with amazing cakes.

MissAmbrosia · 11/09/2023 20:28

Where are you staying?

Whattodonow6322 · 12/09/2023 07:15

I definitely want to see the castle. We are staying at the Hotel Riverside. Hopefully pick a good place to stay
