Suggestions for s/c cottage for family break...but 1 night only!

We are trying to find a cottage or self-catering accomodation for a family break with grandparents for a short break, 1 or 2 nights only, preferably a weekend. We need 2/3 bedrooms and are looking in Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Cotswolds areas. The trouble is most s/c accommodation I can find though Google is for a week, or at least 3 nights. Anyone have any suggestions? It's for my mum's 60th who always moans she doesn't get enough time with my DD so we thought we'd treat her to a weekend away with us. Thanks :-)

You can book a National Trust cottage out of season for only 2 nights. Not sure of your dates but I think it goes to full weeks only from end March until end October. We've been to quite a few and they have all been great and really good value out of season.

Haven't got a link but if you google national trust cottages you'll get there.

Thanks Deux, have looked at these and they look great but as we are looking for April or May we can't do the weekend only.

I'd call the NT (if you haven't already) as they're pretty flexible about bookings if places are empty.

We've stayed in a few NT cottages around the country and they're really great!

If not the NT, then how about the Landmark Trust? They have some very unique properties. Not sure if they do such a short break though but worth a look.
