Can anyone recommend a resort holiday with an 18 month old?

We're thinking of taking our baby away on holiday next year when they'll be around 18th months. Can anyone recommend a nice resort? Perks would be:

• direct flight from Heathrow
• flight time under 4 hours
• 1 bedroom suite with private pool
• Good quality babysitters for when we want the occasional nice dinner

We're thinking 4 nights, up to 2k for the hotel.

MarBella Corfu or Marbella Elix have an Ofsted registered crèche and suites with private pools. The transfer for the Elix is quite long but it’s worth it!

Domes of Elounda, Crete. Absolutely fantastic.

We went to Cliff Bay on Maderia when DS was tiny. Short flight, great luxurious hotel, fab spa and pools and babysitting. Not sure about the private pool option for £2k but should get a suite for that price.

We did Zafiro Andratx in Majorca last year with our 8 month old. Had a one bedroom suite with separate living area (bedroom closed off with sliding doors) and a private pool. The bonus for us was that all the swim ups/private pools had a gate you could close off between the terrace and the pool so there was no danger of our son (who had just started crawling!) flinging himself into the pool!

Ikos resorts are almost always fantastic. Do book ahead for childcare though.
