Best Time to Book Package Holiday to Spain

Hi. We went on an all inclusive holiday in Spain this year for the first time and want to go again next year. We booked in February this year but haven't really done this before so I'm not sure if we're better off booking now or seeing if Tui may have deals in a couple of months?

My kids are 15 and 16 so I'm also not sure if that's too old for a free kids place? Nothing is coming up when I search

It depends a little how flexible you are willing to be with where and when you go.

Generally with the traditional package operators it’s best to either book between 12 months and 9 months before or to wait until the last 2 months before you go.

I’m not sure with Tui but with Jet2 you would get a free child place at some hotels for your 15 year old.

We are going to Majorca in June 2024 with Jet2, we booked in March 2023, I wanted sensibly-timed flights from my local airport. I always book early.

Used to travel every year to a certain destination, it was always cheapest when the flights were just released. .

I think if you need school holiday times, which you probably do with kids that age, unless they'll be in the 'finish slightly earlier as they've just done their GCSEs/are at college' age, it's probably best to book ASAP and be as flexible as you can with destination etc.

But I think you'll be entitled to a free child place with Jet2holidays as they count as children up to 17, and they have a good search tool.
