Luxury holiday parks France?

Hi all,

looking to August 2024 and now being a family of 5 with young children I don’t think we can afford an all inclusive thing in Spain for a while…..

But for our holidays I was looking at holiday parks we can drive to in France (eurotunnel not far from us). Preferably in 3-3.5 hours from Calais.

I’ve seen Eurocamp and Camping Sedenya sites but they seem a bit run down? Despite Sedenya being supposedly luxury. I guess a nice beach nearby would be a plus too.

Can anyone recommend anywhere?

We did a last minute holiday this august to a waterside holiday park in Dorset and it was okay but would prefer the vibes of being abroad for the kids. Next August they will be 6, 3 and 18 months. We actually had a cruise booked but my little one got a bug so had to cancel and do an insurance claim so it’s put me off expensive holidays anyway!

Sandaya has accommodation with air con (or at least the campsite I looked at does). We were staying at a nearby place but I wanted to check it out. It didn't look run down at all.

Look at Yelloh village too, I think Sandaya is better (and more expensive) but the newer 5* Yelloh campsites are worth considering as well.

Good point!
don’t know why I spelt it like that 🙈

Centerparcs? I've been to one further away in France so can't recommend any specific ones, but the one I visited was very decent.

Check out Les Castels they are 5* campsites/holiday parks which offer fantastic facilities many of which are available at extra cost via Eurocamp etc. booking direct saves you loads.

Domaine du Val isn’t at all like Eurocamp. It’s way nicer, although doesn’t have all the bells and whistles that some campsites have. It’s not too far from Calais.

NL not France but Roompot.com? Water village is lovely. One of the beach huts? One of the luxury waterside villas at CP De Haan? One of the Pierre et Vacances villages? I don't think the french do luxury accommodation so well unless it is at stupid high end prices. In my experience, a french holiday includes enough beds and some sort of balcony to eat on.
