Holiday Ideas for Easter

Hi All, looking for ideas for Easter weekend. 3DDs (11-14). Ideally drive able from euro tunnel or cheap flights. DDs enjoy activities/shopping rather than just walking/seeing sights so ideally with lots to so. Currently thinking between Paris, Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Rotterdam, Barcelona. Usually do package holidays so this is a bit of a minefield for me 😭

Which airport would you go from? I’d check on flight prices and see what’s cheapest flights wise if that would be an option.

If you’re in the north, the ferry over from Hull to Rotterdam can be a good way of doing the Netherlands

I'm in the south so Southampton, Bournemouth or London really.

I think Paris is difficult to beat when it comes to shopping - you could fly or the Eurostar is great for getting right in the city.

Milan is also a great shopping city, and you can often pick up really good value flights.

We went to southern Italy last Easter. Stayed in Naples, saw Pompeii, versuvius, herculeum, day trip to Sorrento and another to capri

Shops will be mostly shut over Easter Weekend of course. Andalucia has the fantastic Semana Santa parades. Barcelona would be my suggestion from your list. Loads of teen friendly stuff. Cable car, Zoo, Gaudi buildings, Aquarium, Mount Tibidabo, beach etc.

You could stay at Duinrell in Holland. There’s loads for teens and tweens to do and you can easily to a day trip to Amsterdam and/or Rotterdam. You can hire bikes and there are cycle paths around the nearby tulip fields, which will be coming into bloom at Easter.
