Holiday abroad suggestions for young kids 2024

Can I have some destination suggestions for holidays abroad with young kids please!
We are looking at early May next year (for 10 days)
Our 2 kids will be 4 years old and 14 months old by then.
It will be their 1st time flying and our first time abroad as a family so we want to choose wisely.
We chose May as we didn’t want to go somewhere baking hot but we still want it to be sunny and warm ( plus it’s way cheaper in May!)
Is Majorca good this time of year? Flight times seem reasonable. We don’t want to be on a flight longer than 3 hours really.
Thank you in advance.

Majorca or Menorca are both lovely for those ages. I think Menorca can be a bit better for transfer times from the airport.

Not sure of your budget but Royal Son Bou Family Club in Son Bou, Menorca is always my recommendation for young families - great facilities, everything set up for families with young children, close to the airport, direct access to gorgeous sandy beach with very gentle sea.

Holiday village Cala Millor - Majorca
Our 4 year old loved it.

Menorca is very much a family island.
Majorca is also but check transfer times as some are over an hour.
I try to keep 45 mins or below for transfer with my DS.

@SerenityNowInsanityLater @Sunshineclouds11 @cherryassam
thank you for your replies, I’ve been looking at all these options. Definitely a plus if transfer times are less than an hour!

Malta.

we’ve just come back from there and great for a family holiday. Especially if it’s their first time abroad.

It’s close, lots to do, easy to get around on the buses, speaks English, lovely weather.

Thank you @Twizbe
We’ve been to Malta, many years ago, it was lovely, but the flight may be just that little bit too long with young kids who haven’t flown before.

I think we are leaning towards Menorca - it seems geared towards young families but also seems like there’s a good mix of things to do, I’ve been reading old threads, lots of people saying it’s very beautiful, quieter than Majorca , laid back, just the right amount of restaurants/bars, easy to get around etc. Not ruling Majorca out though, just the transfer times put me off abit.

@cherryassam the hotel you recommended came up in my search, I’ve saved it as it looks great and prices are not that bad in May.
Are there other things within walking distance too like a central area with some restaurants? I’m not fussed about bars or somewhere really busy but it would be nice to go out for the odd meal in the evening somewhere with a nice atmosphere, abit of a buzz.
