Car seat in taxi while on holiday?!

We are looking to go to Mallorca in a few weeks with our three year old and are planning on getting a taxi from the airport (and for days out) but what do we do about a car seat?!

I got burnt this summer re car seats. We booked a taxi transfer back from the airport with car seats. We were there at 2am and there were no seats. We took the decision to go anyway but I was furious. Oldest was probably fine but my youngest was not safe. Ultimately you can’t always trust transfers so we’d ideally take a high back booster with us next time for youngest even though it is a hassle.

@Bunnycat101 who did you book through now I’m worried!

@KickingEAP Weve booked transfers in Tenerife and going in November so can let you know, however I came across another company recently who I have more faith in but I’ve already paid now. The company I’ve seen is travel4baby.com, they hire out baby equipment which is how I’ve found them, again not used so far but can let you know.

I would take your own. It's the only way to ensure you have a safe suitable seat to use and short journey or not, it's just not worth the risk.

A taxi or hire company are likely to have old outdated seats if at all and who knows what condition they've been kept in.

Does anyone have the measurements for the Trunki booster pack? Will it fit the Ryanair handluggage size requiments?
