Does anyone have any experience of cruising with children? We're looking at a 4 or 5 day cruise from Florida - will it be a nightmare at their ages or are we better to wait a few years?

Haven't cruised with children, but have done bk.

I'd say that you'd need to make sure that your cruise had a staffed children's programme. So much of cruising revolves around eating, drinking, gambling and adult entertainment - you might miss out completely if you have to be with your kids 24/7.

A Disney Cruise is obviously very family friendly.

I haven't but my friend is a nurse ona P & O cuise liner and I said to her that I didn't think we would cruise with small kids and she said that they were great for small kids (mine are 3 and 5 months) as the cruise ship is massive so loads to explore, there are different retaurants so food should not be an issue, there are pools and organised activities to keep them busy.
