Car hire Faro

Any recommendations for cheap(but no added extras) car hire from Faro airport?

We used Europcar when we went and found them great to deal with.

We've just come back, and although we have always hired a car in the past, this time around we didn't and just used Uber for everything! Worked out cheaper (we tend to not need to drive every day).
Might be worth considering if you do similar.
(We did prebook Yellowfish - I think that's what they're called - for the airport runs though so we wouldn't have to wait.)

The main players are super expensive in Faro however you can get much cheaper via third parties eg holiday extras or rental cars.com. Zest gets very good reviews. We ended up using hire cars 4 less (via holiday extras I think) which was half the price of the main companies but super friendly despite the very dodgy name. There was a scratch on the car when we dropped it off (not sure if it happened in our care or not) and they were not remotely fussed.

I also almost always pay for car excess insurance through carhireexcess.com (usually about £30 a week but you pay £0 if any issues).

I've used most of them at Faro, but the prices fluctuate. I use SkyScanner to find the best deals.
