Zurich or Geneva? I’m planning a short trip to Switzerland. The main aim is Bern as I want to go to every European capital but where should I twin it with?

For me Zurich has the more "atmospheric" old town centre. Geneva is beautiful and more popular for a holiday I think but I do feel it could be a European town/city in most European countries

It is easier to get from Zurich to Bern . Maybe take in Lucerne on the way.

The region of Adelboden is awesome. You could go over Zurich which is more worth a visit than Geneva to me. I would advise a combination of a city visit, mountain tours and relaxing in a Wellness Spa Hotel or in a nice Park Hotel.

Wellness Adelboden, spa in Hotel Bellevue / Switzerland

In Parkhotel Bellevue & Spa Adelboden enjoy wellness in an impressive Alpine decor.

I would pick Zurich over Geneva and agree a stop over in Lucerne would be great. Lucerne is beautiful. I like Geneva but for me Zurich has a bit more character (I speak German so I may be biased). Great art galleries in Zurich.

Another vote for Zurich and Lucerne.

I also think Jungfraujoch should be on your not to be missed list!
We took DC a few years back, they still talk about it. We've seen lots of unique places, but the Alps with their glaciers are special.

Make sure you pack plenty of money! We've got friends out there and added on a few days in Zurich. Omg the cost of living. Wonderful for a visit though.
