Canaries hotel recommendations - lone traveller

Can anyone recommend any specific hotels in the Canaries for a lone traveller? I’m looking for somewhere near a beach and a sea front. Probably half board as would eat lunch out, nice dinner in the hotel and I’m not fussed about drinking.
I’m just looking to relax for a while, read my book, sunbathe and wander along the front during the day.
Doesn't have to be adults only but might be good.
A friend might come but we are similar in what we are looking for.
Budget is not huge so 5 star is unfortunately unlikely to be possible.

Sorry OP. I can’t help, but this is exactly what I’m looking for too, so I hope you don’t mind me lurking…

There wasn’t a beach as such nearby, just rock pool type sea front immediately in front of the hotel, but I went to Barcelo Santiago in Tenerife earlier this year in my own and really enjoyed it. Adults only, and it wasn’t too expensive.

L love Fuerteventura. Have stayed at the Barcelo in Caleta de Fuste when staying for a week as it's only a short trip from the airport. Great sea front to walk along, lovely beaches and a town that has lots of shops and restaurants to potter round.
If going for longer I go to Corelejo. Last time I stayed in a Barcelo too.

I have also been to that one @tinkrbell - the walk to Los Gigantes is lovely

@Pieceofpurplesky the coastal path in front of the hotel was lovely. I had a sea view room and watched some incredible sunsets from the balcony and the view of the sea and Los Gigantes from the hotel was lovely

Cordial Mogan Playa. Puerto Mogan Gran Canaria would be ideal.

Gloria Palace Royal Hotel & Spa. Amadores, Gran Canaria. Not adult only but quiet and very few kids, overlooks a fantastic beach. 4 star, very good.

I second Cordial Mogan Playa and Gloria Palace - I came on to the thread with both in mind.

Also Radisson Blu in Mogan

I stayed at Coral Los Alisos in Los Christianos recently. Cheap and cheerful, good size pool and central location. I went self catering though. Lots of supermarkets within a 10 minute walk and hundreds of restaurants nearby.

Cordial Mogan Playa, Gran Canaria is fab.

GearChange · 05/09/2023 18:19

Thanks for all the recommendations. I’ll look into them all tonight. Friend might be able to come so could go self catering if she does.

Currently staying at Coral Suites in Playa de las Americas, in Tenerife. Can be self catering or all inclusive. Lovely hotel, good food, great location too.

Another vote for Puerto Mogan in Gran Canaria... I stay at the Cordial Mogan Valle Apts, next to the hotel Mogan Playa. All balconies have table & chairs plus sun loungers... very relaxing place

cherryassam · 05/09/2023 21:09

Yes if you are doing self catering, Cordial Mogan Valle apartments are great.
