Has anyone been ? Thinking of a day trip when staying in the Vendee. How long a drive is it from the coast (1 1/2-2hrs?) and is it worth a visit?

Definitely worth a visit, had a fab time there nearly 20 years ago. Am sure it´s even better now ; )

we were thinking about it last year when we went to the Vendee but ended up not bothering.
You can use Tesco clubcard vouchers to get deals entry tickets if you have them - can always send them back afterwards and have the points re-credited to your account if you don't end up going.

We were there in 2002 - we loved it.
It's very French - not a lot of translation, and not many Americans.....

We had 2 days there which was just about right - our two were 12 & 14, so we didn't do the little kids stuff, but there seemed to be quite a lot for younger ones.
A word of warning - I have very bad travel sickness & I found the 3D films really set it off, but there was a lot of other stuff to do.
The firework show in the evening was really good (but in French, though I think you could get translation via a headphone set, we didn't bother as we both understood enough French & the DCs were both learning)
