Mallorca vs Lanzarote

Hey Parents,

Trying to choose a holiday destination for my family of 4 (Mum, Dad, 5yr & 2yr old). I think i have it narrowed down to Mallorca or Lanzarote however, I am terrible at making the final decision - FOMO!!! So here I am seeking your help. The 2 resorts are Playa Blanca in Lanzarote or Playa de Muro in Mallorca. We love having plenty of fun things to do - waterparks, zoos etc. Needs to have a great family vibe and great food.

Any help would be greatly appreciated please.

I usually get bitten terribly on holiday and they swell up and ooze, but on my last trip to Spain I used Pestects bracelets on my wrist and ankle and jungle Formula maximum spray all over my body and I came home with no bites for the first time ever. Lots of people in my resort were covered in bites so this was a massive result for me.

Loved Playa Blanca, stayed at the Iberostar and we and my 6yr old loved it!

We've been to Mallorca 5 times and I have never been bitten - we went this year (I didn't even bother packing bug spray!) and was ATTACKED!! This was in Palma.

Puerto Pollensa was wonderful for younger children… maybe not so much older. Quite classy clientele so the price reflects this.

ETA - there isn't much to do in Muro, if you were thinking of staying at the Eix (sp) hotel, that's right next to the stagnant water so I imagine it may be mozzie central.
