Faro airport - what is there after security?

We're waiting for our flight to come home and it looks as though there will actually be a plane (the one that is coming from London to turn around and go back has taken off) but I think we'll be delayed a few hours and not setting off until close to midnight, in which case we'll need food.

Are there restaurants, or should we go to the little bar outside the airport? We haven't checked our bags yet.

There's a smallish duty free area, a Burger King, Pizza Hut, Subway, and a cafe (a chain but I can't remember which) with lots of points to charge your phone!

I think it's a Costa

It definitely isn't the worst airport to have to spend a few hours. There are a few different food and drink options and some shops and duty free to look around. Plenty of seating too. Hope you don't have to wait too long.

I googled Faro Airport for you and here's a link to everything in the airport, you can choose before and after security.

I spied the most handsome airport security man I've ever seen in my life in Faro airport.

When I looked it up before we went it suggested there wasn't much after security so I was pleasantly surprised. It's not massive but it's a nice area. A few shops. Lots to eat and drink.
