Thailand recommendations

We are planning a two week trip to Thailand next July/August for myself, DH and DC (11 and 13 by then). So far I have a rough outline of where we want to go: the plan is 3 nights Bangkok, 4 nights Chang Mai, 4 nights Koh Samui and 3 nights Koh Phangnan. If anyone has any accommodation recommendations or recommendations for how you got between those different places I’d be grateful to hear them.

In Bangkok Centre Point Silom River View is good, it has apartment type rooms. It’s on top of a department store with Starbucks and food options, short walk to the metro and you can also go by boat up and down the river. If you stay there there’s a great rooftop bar and restaurant opposite and there’s also a lovely brunch place nearby.
