Do you prefer travelling during peak season?

Growing up I always used to go on summer hols during August peak season due to school hols. As a young adult I used to go away in June/early July or September to save money. We went to places out of season to save money too (Caribbean in summer for example). But I've come to realise that I actually prefer going in peak season, and that it is peak for reasons other than just school holidays. Destinations have a lot more of a 'buzz' to them. As long as it is isn't so busy that we can't get a restaurant table etc, I love it.

No. I prefer to go away in June and/or September. Once dc leave school there will be no more peak season for me.

No only go in August due to kids at school, and also on our about 11th year of August main holidays so keen to change for more destinations and better value for money. I find a lot of Europe too hot and too crowded in summer. Its always depressing when you book last week of school holidays and see how much cheaper exactly same is a week later when there will be less crowds and pretty much same weather for a thousand less or so.

Definitely not. I will be taking my kids out of school every year to go off peak.

I'm dreading going away next week and finding brats on the plane who should be at school.
