Looking for advice on areas to visit for food/drinks, tips on things to do, we will do the hop on bud. Staying in the wedding area, can you walk into centre from there? Any advice really as there are 15 of us heading over in October!

I like the Hackescher Markt area, which I think is classed as Mitte iirc.
definitely do a walking tour. There are loads to choose from.
such an interesting and vibrant city. I ❤️ it!

we found the Welcome Pass good value for discounted touristy stuff and it includes all public transport, even to/from airport.

There may be some Oktoberfest stuff still happening in October. Although I think it’s normally end of September.

Erdinger am Gendarmenmarkt. We eat there every time we visit Berlin. It’s peaceful enough to sit outside and watch the world go by and still have a conversation!

If you like history/ museums I would recommend the panorama section of the Pergamon museum. It's in a separate building just off the museum island. We only went in because the Pergamon museum itself was full for the day.

It really was a stunning modern way to experience a bit of history.

Also if you want to go inside the Reichstag and walk up inside the glass dome you will probably need to book in advance. I really wanted to do this but missed out as we didn't book.
