Hi all I've done few cruises before having our daughter 3 with royal Caribbean and one with Norwegian. We absolutely loved them. I'm looking for some advise. Looking at oasis of the seas from BARCELONA for our holiday in 2024 . Trying to decide between 26th of May or 18th August for a 7 night cruise. Which time of year would be better for a cruise regards weather etc. Both costing about 6500 for flights and cruise with ocean balcony. Is this very expensive or is that what they cost now. It's been about 10 years since we were on a cruise. Also is OASIS the best ship in the Mediteranian for 2024 or is there any other ships or cruise lines I should be considering that be great for an 8 year old. Any advise or experiences would be much aporeciated.

.

Given the weather this year, I’d go for May. It’s utterly boiling in the med at the minute so for that alone, I’d go earlier. We only sail RC. We’ve just not found an itinerary, dates etc all combined with another operator. I know friends rate the newer MSC ships though.

I'd also go for May. Not been on that ship but I know people who have and you probably won't find another ship with so much to do on board! I do love a balcony cabin but given the additional cost i'm doing an inside cabin this year. I've done 2 cruises with a balcony and 2 without and honestly it didn't make that much difference to our overall enjoyment. If you can afford it though i would!

Thanks for replies. I think I'll go with may so. It's 26th may so nearly June and oasis of the seas looks class. I'll see what price diff is between inside and ocean balcony. I think our little girl would love s cruise
