We have a window of opportunity to fly away next summer as part of a year BIG BIRTHDAY celebrations for my husband and I (60 and 50!) ) We only have 5 days due to another holiday early August and work commitments in the summer holidays during the last week of August. I (we) want it to be something special and different, but not disproportionately expensive as we are taking the children on a special trip in October to tick something else off the bucket list. My initial research seems a little repetitive or places we have been before, extensive travel time etc.
What we ideally want ..
A beautiful, intimate /small hotel , ideally near water with short (ish) transfers, with exceptional food for five days of complete relaxation. An added extra would be a spa, in a superb setting. Something a little different.
