Hi,

We'll be away in Singapore & Australia during the holidays where medical facilities are very good and easily available (except Xmas time in Australia)

What should I have in a first-aid kit for my 7mth old dd?

I can only think of:

  • thermometer
  • baby acetaminophen or ibuprofen
  • insect repellent
  • band aids

Aus will have lots of flies because of the heat, do I need insect repellent? Is there one suitable for babies?

most insect repellants are not suitable for babies, well certainly the under two's, but you can order one that is from www.alfresco.uk.com
Also, what about calpol?

take re-hydration packs in case of sickness and diahorrea. you can ask the chemist

germolene

calpol

karvol - babies can get stuffy colds from the air conditioning in planes

you can get a plug-in mozzie zapper for use in the babies bedroom at nights i think

cant think of anything else except to say have a wonderful time!
