Croatia - what to do for full day before 9:45pm flight

Currently in Croatia in Orebic, about 2.5 hours drive from the airport. We were hoping to do a late checkout from our holiday house but unfortunately this is no longer possible, we have to be checked out by 10am on Saturday.

it’s mid 30’s and very humid and I have my mum with us who has limited mobility.

In an ideal world we would have dropped car and bags off at the airport and done public transport into Dubrovnik but my mum won’t cope with the walking and heat.

Does anyone know anyway that has parking, does not require lots of walking, is shady and ideally can get food/drink?

I've not done it myself yet, we're going in October but what about the cable-car in Dubrovnik? There is a car park close by and a bar/restaurant at the top.

You could have lunch at the Hilton Imperial in Dubrovnik and ask to park - think you have to pay for car park. Your mother could then stay in the hotel lounge or on the terrace for the afternoon whilst the rest of you could pop into Dubrovnik (as it’s 2 minute walk from the city walls)

You could go into Cavtat, if you’re fairly comfortable driving smallish lanes in a town setting. There’s a good amount of parking along the harbour and lots of restaurants / bars with terraces and shade. It’s a pretty town and very close to the airport. There’s a cute little shell museum that my grandmother loved.
