I'm looking at booking Dubai for the first 10 days of April. Anyone ever been that time of year? I'm looking at staying at the mercure barsha heights hotel which is near the marina apparently.

Mercure barsha is on the main motorway 10 mins by taxi to the backside of the marina. Google maps will help you. A very basic holiday hotel, though the apartment living is useful but you'll be taxiing 15 mins to the beach. It is in an odd area, not too many cafes etc around

I'd look for a hotel with better pool area or a hotel in business bay

Weather will be great - warm!

I would suggest you stay somewhere else. I’ve actually been past there on the train and there’s nothing much around there at all, that road too is busy at all hours of the day and night.

Just beer in mind Ramadan is 10th March - 9th April in 2024 so that will affect a lot of the restaurants being open / a lot of the social aspects of dubai during that time

Ricco12 · 22/08/2023 21:18

It’s Ramadan so no I’d not bother.

Thanks everyone you've definitely helped and given me a few things to think about!

Ramadan doesn't really change anything anymore. Restaurants cafes open as normal etc
