We book with Holiday Hypermarket which are a cheaper extension of TUI

DustyLee123 · 21/08/2023 21:19

I feel better with Tui

Redpepperss · 21/08/2023 21:23

Depends who is in your party? TUI do the best solo discount if you travel with DC. They also have TUI NHS holiday heroes for staff too.

I always just book the different elements myself online, so I can find what I want. I’ve found perfect apartments for European city breaks on Vrbo and booking.com 👍

TUI are good until it goes wrong, speaking to someone is near on impossible unless you want to Facebook message them.

GoodVibesHere · 21/08/2023 21:47

We've used Jet2, they've been ok.

anotherdaytoday76 · 21/08/2023 21:57

Jet2 are good

Kaceeee · 22/08/2023 03:39

Jet 2 & Easy jet really good. Had a lot of problems with love holidays & TUI so would not use

Ohhelpicantthinkofaname · 22/08/2023 07:05

I usually book with on the beach. Cheaper than tui and jet 2, you just don’t get an in resort rep, which is fine with me.

RampantIvy · 22/08/2023 07:09

Jet2 or Tui. Never had an issue with either of them.

Which do you want more of, Barcelona city experience or beach/pool?

It's just that staying in Barcelona is quite expensive and hotel rooms and their pools tend to be quite small.

If you want to see all that Barcelona has to offer, I'd look for a hotel with a pool (but bear in mind it will be small and probably on the roof), and you can also go to the beach. Probably book separately for best choice using booking.com for the accommodation and direct on the airline website for the flight (use Skyscanner if you're not sure what routes are available, but bear in mind that Ryanair doesn't always show up on there) and just get public transport between the airport and the city.

But if you want more of beach/pool, I'd book somewhere in a coastal town that has a good train link with Barcelona and possibly look at a package if you have suitable suppliers using the airports you favour, but also consider booking.com/separate flights. Maybe somewhere like Sitges, or Pineda de Mar?
